So, 'Hidden Gem' is the term that I'll use to categorized  the amazing foods that's considered as 'Street Foods'. Kebanyakan dari tempat2 di bawah ini nggak ada alamat lengkap nya, jadi aku akan ngasih kayak 'ancer2' biar lebih mudah kalo mau nyari tempatnya :D

Soal rasa..... bagiku sih ini enak semua dan tentu harga2nya nggak mahal :D

Pappagallo Semarang

This restaurant is located at Jl. Ahmad Yani 162 Semarang (Besides Klinik Mata Nusantara) which is kinda in the middle of the city.

The environment was great. Combination of wooden furniture and wooden floor and you can also see the kitchen from your seat. I think they could accommodate more than 50 people inside. 

Their menu was quite a lot but it was basically 2 sets of menus. The first one is is more of the Asian cuisines and he other one is Western cuisines. 

These are what I ordered. Ok, first, the Marinated Chicken Feet. It was great :D. The chicken meat was just falling off of the bones, so tender and the spices were also perfect. The black pepper didn't overpowered the other spices.

Second, is the seafood in spicy herb. The taste was... kinda strong for me but it was still enjoyable to eat. The broth I think was a tomato soup and they gave other spices and herbs and also chili (correct me if I'm wrong) to strengthen the flavors. There are a lot of types of seafood in this dish such as shrimp, squid, etc. And they were all in good portion.

Last, but certainly not the least is the BBQ platter. This is my favorite of all three. The meat was tender and the skin was crispy, highly recommended :D. The taste of the meat itself were no too strong, but they'll provide you with 2 sauces. One is more of a sweet sauce and the other one was more of a salty sauce.

Overall it's a great restaurant to eat with your family and your friends, because their menus were diverse. If your friends/ families doesn't eat seafood, easy, he/ she can order the western foods or maybe the chicken :D

First Love Patisserie Semarang

This mini cafe is located at Jl Moch Suyudi No. 60 Semarang. When i said 'mini', it really is small. I don't think that they can accommodate more than 20 people inside. But, there's an advantage on having a small cafe, the environment was relaxing, not noisy whatsoever.

From what I know, they have 2 outlets in Semarang, one is this place and the other one is in Grand Edge (besides Momoya).

These are what I ordered. Thousand Layer Cake (Oreo Flavor) and Iced Cafe Latte. First of all, the cake itself was light and not too sweet. The combination of the cream and oreo was just amazing. Take note that you can order a whole cake or just per slices. Beside Oreo flavor they also have wide varieties of other taste. Staring from Original, Cappuccino, Belgian Chocolate, Green Tea, etc.

Next is the drink. The Iced Cafe Latte was so refreshing, I mean the taste of the coffee was not that strong. There's actually crumbles of white chocolate on top. They served my drink as not sweet but they do provide sugar if you want to add it to your drink.

So, if you're a fan of thousand layer cake you need to try this place out. You might want to invite your close friends also, because it's a nice place to hang out with them.

HGBF Kamiki Burning Gundam

So, I like how this gunpla looks, it really looks like a martial arts master. With the addition of a sword and new fire wings (?), make it looks more badass. I decided to add the Sengoku Astray's swords to this kit for its dual katana style and it turns out to be better than I thought.

Marugame Udon @Paragon Mall, Semarang

I love Japanese foods :D, so when I knew that there's a new Japanese restaurant (in this case is an udon & tempura restaurant) opened in Semarang I got excited and I decided to go there to have a taste of their foods.

When I arrived, it was around 1 pm, so it was crowded with people who wants to eat lunch, but I decided to just queue along. And yeah, after 10 or 15 minutes I arrived at the 'Order' counter.  

This is what I ordered. Ontama Udon and various tempura. So, Ontama udon is the udon itself with 'bukake dashi' broth, egg, leeks, and the tempura's crumbles. I really love this udon, the texture of the noodles were perfect and the broth was very delicious, not too salty and light in flavor. When you mix the egg with the broth it will make the taste even better. 

Next is the tempura, personally I like the ebi tempura and the egg tempura. For the ebi tempura, the composition of the flour and the shrimp was good, I can still taste the shrimp. The reason why I love the egg tempura was because it was cooked perfectly, it was still half-cooked in the middle. The croquette and kakiage was good, but i preferred the ebi tempura and the egg tempura :D

So, for me this is the best udon restaurant in Semarang, yet. The price for me is still okay. I'd love to come back again and try other menus in the future.

Carnivor Sky Bar & Grill Semarang

The restaurant is located at Grand Edge, SL Floor, Jl Sultan Agung 96, Semarang, Jawa Tengah and it opens from 5 pm until 1 am. Because of its location (at the top of the hotel) you will be able to see Semarang from above, so you can eat your food while enjoying the scenery around you :D

Now let's look at the menu. For appetizers they have Crispy Nachos, Quesadillas, Calamary Fritter, etc. For main course they offered us with a lot of options, starting from Risotto, Fish & Chips, varieties of pasta, pizza, burger, and also steak. They also have 4 choices of dessert to complete your meal. For 'Beverages' category, they have it on different sheet (I forgot to take picture of it). One hing that I noticed from their menu is that it was a 'soft opening menu' so i expect there will be some changes when they  use their 'real' menu.

So, I ordered a 200gr Sirloin Steak (medium) with mushroom sauce + ice tea and my sister ordered Risotto Chicken Mushroom + lemon tea. I personally like the texture of the meat, it was juicy but for the taste i think it will be better if they give more salt. For the side dish and the mushroom sauce, they were all good, no complaint. And yeah, they gave me a medium steak, just like what I ordered.

I also taste my sister's risotto. It was great, creamy, rich in flavor, not too salty, and the herbs were there to increase the fragrance.

To sum it all up, it's a great place to have dinner with your friends and families or maybe to have birthday celebrations or other things. With good foods and beautiful scenery i'm sure you will have a good time in this place.

Cats and Coffee Jogjakarta

Having a good drinks in a comfortable room with some cats playing around is one of the most enjoyable things to do. Yes, that’s what this place can offered to you. The café is called Cats and Coffee which is located at Jl. Bougenville, Caturtunggal, Depok, Kec. Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 55281.

When you entered the café you will see some shoe racks where you can put your footwear and then you can see some rules in the café like using hand sanitizer before you enter, don’t disturb the cats while they’re eating, etc.

The menu that they offered are quite simple. For the drinks you can have hot or ice coffee variants like espresso, cappuccino, mochacino. They also offered non-coffee drinks and fruit juice. For snacks they have grilled sausage, durian pancake, etc.
