The Salt Resto and Bar Semarang (Review)

Bagi penyuka ataupun yang mau nyobain makanan India di Kota Semarang mungkin akan kesulitan dalam menemukan tempat untuk mencari dan menikmati makanan India yang enak, namun sekarang sudah ada restoran yang bernama The Salt yang berada di Jalan Sumbing 18a, Semarang yang menyediakan berbagai masakan India yang tentu rasa rempah - rempah khas India nya kerasa banget.

Untuk restoran nya sendiri sih ada 2 tempat, indoor dan outdoor. Untuk yang indoor ya bentuknya sama kayak restoran - restoran biasa tapi untuk yang outdoor mereka memiliki tema seperti mobil - mobil dan disitu ada bar nya.

Untuk makanan nya seperti yang aku bilang diawal tadi mereka spesialisasi nya adalah di masakan India tapi mereka juga punya menu Western dan Asia. Ini makanan - makanan yang aku pesen waktu ke restoran nya.

Yang pertama adalah Galic Naan. Garlic nya kerasa banget soalnya memang ada banyak banget di atas rotinya dan rotinya juga cocok banget kalo mau di dip ke saus tikka masala nya.

Yang kedua Lazziz Murch Tikka Masala. Well, namanya agak unik sih menurutku tapi ini basically adalah boneless chicken dengan saus rempah - rempah India yang aku kurang tau apa aja tapi yang pasti ayamnya tender sama rempah - rempah nya kerasa banget dan juga pedesnya slowly build-up jadi awalnya nggak begitu pedes tapi setelah makan beberapa suap pedes dan panasnya mulai kerasa. 

Yang ketiga Fish Tikka Masala. Soal rasa, sekali lagi rempah - rempah nya kerasa banget kayak Lazziz Murch Tikka Masala tapi kalo menurutku FIsh Tikka Masala ini nggak se-asin dan se-pedas Lazziz Murch.

Sego Buto Semarang (Review)

Just a quick update~

Jadi ini ada tempat makan dengan nama unik untuk kalian yang memang makannya banyak hehe. Nama tempat makan nya 'Sego Buto', well.... 'Buto' sendiri biasanya untuk monster yang memang badannya gede gitu.

Untuk lokasi sendiri, terletak di Pujasera Simpang Lima Semarang (deket ACE Hardware) dan mereka mulai buka dari jam 18.00 - 02.00.

Yak, dan ini dia menu mereka yg paling komplit, namanya 'Sego Buto Kalap'. Basically ini isinya semua topping yang ada di sini, mulai dari ayam, udang, cumi, sosis, dan telur. Untuk rasa bumbunya sendiri sih..... agak susah ngejelsainnya tapi kalo buat aku kayak bumbu kare tapi agak light. Untuk rasa dari masing2 components sih udah enak, bumbu nya udah kerasa, tapi kalo ditambah saosnya jadi makin enak (that sauce really brings them all together). Oh ya, di samping nama menu ini ada tulisan 'Untuk 3 - 4 Orang' :D

Hidden Gem Compilation 1

So, 'Hidden Gem' is the term that I'll use to categorized  the amazing foods that's considered as 'Street Foods'. Kebanyakan dari tempat2 di bawah ini nggak ada alamat lengkap nya, jadi aku akan ngasih kayak 'ancer2' biar lebih mudah kalo mau nyari tempatnya :D

Soal rasa..... bagiku sih ini enak semua dan tentu harga2nya nggak mahal :D

Pappagallo Semarang

This restaurant is located at Jl. Ahmad Yani 162 Semarang (Besides Klinik Mata Nusantara) which is kinda in the middle of the city.

The environment was great. Combination of wooden furniture and wooden floor and you can also see the kitchen from your seat. I think they could accommodate more than 50 people inside. 

Their menu was quite a lot but it was basically 2 sets of menus. The first one is is more of the Asian cuisines and he other one is Western cuisines. 

These are what I ordered. Ok, first, the Marinated Chicken Feet. It was great :D. The chicken meat was just falling off of the bones, so tender and the spices were also perfect. The black pepper didn't overpowered the other spices.

Second, is the seafood in spicy herb. The taste was... kinda strong for me but it was still enjoyable to eat. The broth I think was a tomato soup and they gave other spices and herbs and also chili (correct me if I'm wrong) to strengthen the flavors. There are a lot of types of seafood in this dish such as shrimp, squid, etc. And they were all in good portion.

Last, but certainly not the least is the BBQ platter. This is my favorite of all three. The meat was tender and the skin was crispy, highly recommended :D. The taste of the meat itself were no too strong, but they'll provide you with 2 sauces. One is more of a sweet sauce and the other one was more of a salty sauce.

Overall it's a great restaurant to eat with your family and your friends, because their menus were diverse. If your friends/ families doesn't eat seafood, easy, he/ she can order the western foods or maybe the chicken :D
